Art Direction & Project Management by Molly Dee

In my practice, I work as a Design and Visual Communications instructor at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham. My students are an important part of my life, and I value opportunities to collaborate with them and guide them through real-world creative experiences.

I see my role as both educator and collaborator, helping students develop their ideas, find their voice, and bring their work to life. I believe the strongest creative work comes from sharing ideas, learning from one another, and building something together.

The Story of the Mural

Created to celebrate the opening of Harriet’s Closet at the Natick Service Council, this mural honors Harriet’s lasting legacy of compassion and service to the community. Harriet dedicated many years to the Natick Service Council, helping create a place where people could find support, dignity, and connection.

Inspired by Harriet’s favorite flower, the lilac, the mural uses vibrant blooms as a symbol of kindness, generosity, and the lasting impact one person can have on a community. The design also embraces the feeling of a modern boutique (fun, cool, and welcoming). The goal was to create a space that feels joyful and uplifting, reflecting the idea that everyone deserves to feel good, valued, and cared for when shopping for clothing, regardless of their circumstances.

The mural is both a tribute to Harriet and a celebration of the welcoming, community-centered spirit she represented.
